Taipei, location of Evergrand Capital's headquarters

Taiwan-based Evergrand Capital have announced that experienced executive Roy Moore will take over as Director of Trading from June 1st.

Mr. Moore takes over from Simon Neil, who publicly confirmed his retirement last week. Mr. Neil had been in poor health since the start of the year and it is understood that Evergrand had been aware of his intention to step down, allowing the firm to move swiftly in announcing his replacement.

Announcing Mr. Moore’s appointment, Evergrand chairman Peter Deacon paid tribute to the outgoing director.

“Having worked with Simon for a number of years prior to founding Evergrand Capital, I am sad to see not just an excellent colleague but a good friend leave our firm,” said Deacon.

“Everyone at Evergrand wishes him all the best in his retirement.”

A well-known name in the financial services industry, 56-year-old Mr. Moore will leave his current position as head of trading for Citibank’s Asia Pacific division, having held a number of senior roles within the group since joining in 1992.

Citibank are yet to make any comment on Mr. Moore’s announced departure.
